12.7" GXP Dual Piston Brake Kit

3

ZZ-12.7GXPBRK $499.99
Regular price $499.99

In stock form the Grand Prix has 11" rotors and single piston cast iron brake calipers. This is a far cry from a performance braking system and barely meets what we would consider minimum requirements to stop the car.

This is the ultimate front direct bolt on brake upgrade kit for your '97+ Grand Prix/Regal, Monte, Impala, '00+ Bonneville/Park Ave/LaSabre. It comes with twin piston aluminum calipers, and 12.7" vented and cross drilled rotors. ZZPerformance is proud to bring you an easy to install, complete package to upgrade your Wbody.

Includes:

    • 2 calipers with brackets
    • 2 rotors
    • front brake pad set

The "Longer" version of the Goodridge Stainless Brake Lines are required with this brake upgrade.

* Most of the time it will require 18+" wheels, but it can fit some 17" wheels.

**We recommend using blue loctite on the caliper bracket bolts.

Stops great

If you have to do calipers, rotors, and pads on an '05 GTP I would suggest upgrading them to these. Cost is about the same in the end for a great product that would have come stock on the car if they didn't have a GXP model. Fits nicely behind my 17in wheels and install was easy, ~ 3 hours for both sides. One problem I ran into is the threads in my caliper were stripped, I had not inspected them prior to install so there's no way to tell when it happened. I love having these on my car.

Gxp kit

These kits do not come with fine thread banjo bolts and you will not be able to put the kit on your car without them

This review is for the

This review is for the 12.7" GXP Dual Piston Brake Kit. I upgraded from theF-Body Dual Aluminum Piston Brake Kit to this one. More Views F-Body Dual Aluminum Piston Brake Kit has the break lines going from the top of the caliper so when turning the wheels in both direction there is clearance, The problem with the 12.7" GXP DUAL PISTON BRAKE KIT is that the break line feed on the caliper from the bottom thus not allowing clearance for the tires to turn. The kit work great but its missing a bracket to hold the brake lines out of the way from the suspension. In order to make the kit work on my grand prix I had to make a bracket that is secured to the strut and holds the break line in place. Im sure many other have had this problem I truly hope ZZP reads this review and make a bracket to hold the break line a part of the kit.
