    During the testing phase we setup an RTA to measure db levels at various frequencies and rpm ranges . Time consuming to say the least but in the end we came up with a solution which we now manufacture in stainless. This is an amazing sounding exhaust while still maintaining a quiet tone when it is ordered with the resonator as a stock replacement. Running this 2.5" catback with a catted downpipe, and resonator option can be quieter than stock and flow restriction free until around 260whp which is the average power for a Stage 3 kit with dual pass endplate, header/downpipe, & CAI. If your goal is to make more than 260whp you will want to upgrade to the 3" catback instead, but that will require cams/valve springs and more to exceed 270whp.

    Fits the 2005-07 2.0, 2005+ 2.2 & 2.4 liter Cobalts.

    Easy install, GET THE RESONATOR. Have fun blasting down the road

    So this is my second amazing product from zzp and these guys and gals don’t disappoint. I have a custom tube intake w/ a spectre filter (will change to k&n as soon as it gets dirty), midlength headers and now the 2.5 exhaust with resonator. I have a 2.2 09 manual cobalt. Ok specs over, the worst part about this was taking the old rusted overweight peice of garbage that is the old exhaust off. Make sure you have a grinder or handsaw. Took me about 15 minutes, some wd-40 and elbow grease to pop it off, and slap these wide pipes on. Make sure to loosen and re-fit it after a ride, because mine sagged a lil and it just needed a lil tightening up and were good. THE SOUND THOUGH! omg when I started this puppy up I couldn’t help but get giddy like a school girl. The headers and resonator match the muffler perfectly. You definitely hear idle, but under 1000 is a low rumble that is tolerable. Very little to no highway drone. Great job on this ZZP. When I hit WOT, it get this **** screaming sound that only can come from an American 4 ****** and I love it. It does have weird idle issues right now, so make sure to budget a tune ASAP, as I lost a lil low end tourque too. All in all, well worth it, and keep up the great work zzp.

    Sounds Excellent

    Nice deep tone with resonator, installation was smooth, easier to put on the new exhaust than it was to remove the 80k rusted out stock gm performance exhaust, for sure. This exhaust has no raspy notes that I can tell, although I did also install mid-length header and downpipe combo as well so that probably helped remove the bad notes. Very satisfied especially for the price, the welds are works of art at all the seams!
