Alternator Underdrive Pulley

Pulleys & Belts - Alternator Underdrive Pulley
Pulleys & Belts - Alternator Underdrive Pulley

By spinning the alternator slower than stock you can free up some of the HP robbed in the upper RPM bands. You can still use the stock accessory belt with this alternator pulley. Using a water pump underdrive pulley and an alternator UD pulley requires a larger belt.

Pulleys are anodized black and made from 6061 aluminum. Using aluminum allows weight savings over the factory steel pulley.

These are only compatible with the 97-03 alternators.

Looks great

Well it's a pulley. Not much more to it than that. It looks good and installation was a breeze.

Alt underdrive

Just had one small hiccup, but it wasn't ZZP's fault. The previous installed an alternator from a 2005 3800 making this pulley incompatible, pulled an alternator from a 2000 GP and it worked beautifully. I combined this with the water pump under drive and the 3.5" idler pulley with a 2385mm belt. Smaller belts will squeal like crazy. I do have the voltage booster and alternator cable and my voltage in the system has not dropped, the power transfer to the wheels is amazing with the combination I have, keep it coming ZZP. And a thank you to Steve for your quick replies with my issue.
