Fitment note: The FX250 and FX350 clutches are intended for the 215mm size flywheel, the race clutch only fits the 228mm flywheel. You can interchange between the flywheel/clutch sizes but you must make sure they match. Clutch Masters is proud to offer an upgraded heavy duty clutch kit for the New Chevy Cruze/Sonic. The Clutch Masters FX- series clutch kits are built to work with the factory OEM Dual Mass flywheel with an after market Single Mass flywheel such as the Clutch Masters Single mass aluminum flywheel.
Compared to the OEM pressure plate which is sadly only 1200 lbs of clamping force, the Clutch Masters clutch kit will be a solid 1600lbs without effecting the peddle pressure!
The FX250 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate and a hybrid combination of Clutch Masters New Formula Button on one side and a heavy-duty Steel Back Organic friction lining on the other. This clutch is designed for the street enthusiast or weekend racer who plans to abuse their vehicle on an occasional basis and have a spirited driving style. The FX250 clutch system has a higher holding capacity than a traditional full faced Kevlar without compromising the street friendly characteristics Clutch Masters is known for. *
The FX300 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with a Steel Back Segmented Kevlar disc. This clutch is designed for the ultimate street enthusiast or weekend racer running a normally aspirated car equipped with cylinder head work and/or hotter cam(s), or with medium-boost turbo or super-charger, or up to 100hp NO2. The FX300 features only slightly increased pedal pressure, long life disc and positive engagement. The FX300 is only recommended for the street and not for the track. The FX500 (race clutch) System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with a custom, extremely durable, unsprung Ceramic disc. This is the ultimate extreme duty street and/or road/drag racing system. This is THE clutch we recommend if you are wanting to drag race your car or love to bang gears.
SPECIAL NOTE: This only works with cars that use the GM part # 55583705 flywheel. Contact your local dealer and ask them if your car uses this flywheel. They will need your vin#.
Warning: Due to the solid (no Marcel) friction rivet design, the FX500 disc engages very quickly and may chatter slightly in first and reverse. To help alleviate this problem, we only use premium ceramic friction material.
