In stock form the Grand Prix has 11" rotors and single piston cast iron brake calipers. This is a far cry from a performance braking system and barely meets what we would consider minimum requirements to stop the car. This is a great, affordable brake upgrade. Many users have learned that the brakes found on late model Camaros and Firebirds are nearly compatible. We take the F-Body caliper kit and modify it so it simply bolts onto your car with no modifications needed.
The F-Body setup features dual piston aluminum calipers that operate over a 12" rotor. Dual piston calipers allow much greater braking with the same fluid pressure applied. This makes for accurate, responsive braking with less effort. Using aluminum keeps these calipers 5 pounds lighter than the stock iron calipers! ZZPerformance is proud to bring you an easy to install, complete package to upgrade your W body.

For W Body's that are already equipped with 12" rotors, these calipers will bolt on and drastically increase stopping power and reduce weight.
For older W body cars with 11 inch rotors, you will need to upgrade to 12 inch rotors to use these calipers.
We recommend using blue loc tite on the caliper bracket bolts.
These will not fit with 97 crosslace wheels.

We are now using calipers from GM that have the correct 14mm mounting bolts in them. This means that your F-body kit will use the same factory bolts as your stock caliper bracket.
No more downsizing to a 12mm bolt.
