G8 Rear Brembo 4 Piston Caliper Brake Kit

This setup is for a rear brake Brembo conversion for the 2008-2009 G8. This includes the CTS-V Brembo calipers, ceramic brake pads, caliper pin hardware kit, and three choices of rotors: Our zinc coated drilled/slotted rotors, standard stock solid rotors, and StopTech slotted to match the 6 piston front kit we offer, and mounting bolts.

Before people couldn't retain their parking brake when doing this conversion because of the limited rotor options. The rotors included in this product let you retain the parking brake. These are monster 14" diameter rotors!

These are factory rear calipers from 2004-07 Cadillac CTS-V, 2006-09 STS-V, etc. This kit does require removal or modification of the stock backing plates. 

Everything is brand new! Not Reman'd.

Great package

For the G8 you must remove the crossover tube and move it to the bottom. I was confused for a while and had to google what was going on with the bleeders on the bottom. Providing a simple instruction paper for this kit would be nice. Everything else was great. It all bolted right up. Something else that should probably be included, caliper pin instructions. I was confused by the brembo pins which must be set in with a punch. The other vehicle I have with brembos has cotter pins to keep the caliper pins in place. It seems simple, but not knowing you need a hammer and punch to fully seat them could result in some dangerous installations.

Great fit, easy install

The installation was a breeze (according to the mechanic) and they look great. I can not comment on the figment with stock rims because I have XIX 20’ plenty of space on the fronts the tears are pretty tight due to my offset.

I used a plasma cutter to trim the dust shield. 1” off the side to clear the caliper and trimmed off the lip. Some experience is needed for that but otherwise it was a straight bolt up. Improved look and braking. Worth the money every bit.
