Stainless brake lines for your Ecotec powered vehicle. They are made with a Teflon tube covered with stainless steel braid, and then encased in a UV resistant polyvinylchloride clear coating.

These cars come with 6 rubber lines total, 1 to each caliper and 2 that go from the body of the car to the rear suspension assembly or "Axle". The Goodridge brake line set comes with all 6 lines, so it is the most complete kit available.

Model:

Standard: 04-07 Cobalt SS, Ion Redline, 06+ Cobalt SS 2.4, 06+ HHR, 07-09 G5

Cobalt LNF: '08+ Cobalt SS LNF

DOT approved.

*Rear lines do not fit cars with rear drum brakes

*GM has over-tightened some of the brake lines from the factory causing the fitting on the body side of the steel line to mushroom and become slightly over-sized. Sometimes you may need to lightly sand the first two threads of the body side fitting to get it to thread into the new line. This applies to new stock replacement lines and Goodridge/ZZP lines.

04 Redline - Works Great

Hardest part is releasing the old lines from the brackets, as they can be corroded to the bracket. Just undo the screws for the bracket and take the entire bracket over to a vice so you can hammer it out easier. This is more so a problem with the car, not the product Product is high quality, just wish it came with new banjo bolts, I'm not a fan of reusing bolts in critical areas Another tip for improvement would be to include a rib like the factory lines to prevent the lines from spinning As they are, it's possible to introduce rotational force on the hardlines lines which is not good

Meh

The rear banjo fitting did not fit my 2010 Cobalt SS calipers. I had to grind the boss using a burr and rotary tool for clearance. Front caliper lines are shorter than factory, and begin to strain when the suspension is at full lock, and full droop. Should be ok with the car at ride height though. One of the intermediate line fittings was leaking. I had to loosen the connection and re-torque. The flare must not have sat correctly the first time around. Did not really notice an improvement in brake feel but it is winter right now and I am on snow tires. I hope that there will be a noticeable effect in the summer at the track. Running Motul DOT5.1 fluid.
