This is a bolt on larger mechanical fuel pump for your direct injection LNF, LHU, or LDK engine. This is an absolute must have for any LNF/LHU wanting more than 400whp on E85. We have tested this pump to well over 500 WHP using straight E85, without any indication of a drop in rail pressure all while using the early prototype modified fuel lobe cam, which only had around half the additional 'lift' when compared to our current off the shelf cams.

When coupled with our ZZP cams w/ fuel pump lobe, and opel injectors, expect enough fuel system to support over 600 WHP on straight E85!

Dont be fooled by others selling off the shelf pumps with an adaptor plate. They have bent, and kinked the inlet line, which is restrictive, and use a wimpy spring which causes the pump to 'float'. ZZPerformance has developed a billet inlet adaptor that clocks the fuel inlet hose to the proper location which not only looks fantastic, it WORKS. We have also developed a new spring, specific to this application to help combat the float issues that others are seeing.

Fits Cobalt SS, HHR SS, Pontiac Solstice GXP, Saturn Sky Redline, and Buick Regal.

Definitely a need for full e85 tune.

I no longer get the P0087 or P0089 can’t remember which one. But the one that says fuel pressure to low/engine power reduced. Install was a cinch, However, make sure you have to pump in the right spot before completely bolting it on. Regardless what the instruction show you. It needs to be in a position where it clears the exhaust manifold first. Meaning that the pump needs to sit at an angle just slightly different than the instruction show you so that it clears the exhaust manifold. Then bolt it in place so you can pivot the pump where it needs to be! “Or it’s going to hit the exhaust manifold!” and you will have to chisel away at the exhaust manifold to clear it. Another option is to hopefully try no to strip the bolts to take it back out again. My bolts started to strip so I couldn’t take them back out to move the pump. I had to take a flat head screwdriver and chisel a little bit of the exhaust manifold aside to pivot the pump properly. This happened when following the instructions on positioning the pump 100%. I love it! Price is a little bit much but if you’re planning on running the E85 you know what you’re going to spend on the car.

Overall amazing, but....

As for the quality of the part, hands down can’t get any better than this! Simple and clean look and also frees up just a tiny bit of space on top of the intake manifold. But the only issue I had while installing this part, besides me trying to retain the factory pumps shield/ charge pipe bracket and cutting it to pieces, is that the instructions that are provided show the pump being installed on the head without the intake manifold on there so I had to file a bit of material off of the intake runner in order to rotate the pump into its final position to bolt it down. Could also save the consumer the hassle of including a new gasket also instead of offering separately or by purchasing from a dealer. But overall I love it and ZZP’s service has always been great!

Upgraded HPFP

The billet improvements and welds look clean and high quality, as well as the spring upgrade. Have not installed yet but should be the same as the stock pump, and easy with the instructions provided. High quality stainless bolts as well. Will update if anything changes during install.
