A European high-performance version of the 2.0L LNF with 9.3:1 compression. This engine is also known as A20NFT and A20NHT by GM Powertrain Europe. The LDK engine uses a Gen 3 "sand cast" block, larger oil pan, higher compression pistons, and several enhancements over the LNF. In its stock form the LDK makes ~10 more HP than the LNF. The block itself is an improvement over the LNF Gen 2 block, and can handle up to and over 500whp, however the rods are much weaker than an LNF. We generally see the rods fail at around 320-350 wheel torque on our mustang dyno, however differences in fuel quality, tuning, and driver/equipment setup and use can see failures earlier or later. If you want to make more than 350wtq we would highly suggest our upgraded rods and pistons. We offer a full forged engine here.
This comes as a direct replacement engine for a '11-'13 Regal GS with the LHU. If this is the vehicle you have, please select "Regal LHU" when ordering.
This LDK engine will bolt in a front wheel drive LNF Cobalt or HHR SS, we can simply remove the factory Regal vacuum pump and install a block off plate in its place. If this is the route you are going, please select "Cobalt/HHR LNF" so we can set it up properly for your application before shipping.
This engine can also be installed in a rear wheel drive Saturn Sky or Pontiac Solstice GXP, however it will require a LNF head swap. if you want a complete engine, we can do this for you, but you would select "Sky/Solstice LNF" We will simply swap the head for a new LNF head/cam and it will clear your firewall. You will need to reuse your RWD specific balancer, oil pan, valve cover, and cylinder head coolant bleed fitting for the easiest install. The ZFR will require extensive modifications to fit the RWD application. It can be done, but it would cost a few hundred more.
It does not come with an intake manifold, fuel rail/injectors, or an exhaust manifold.
You can simply bolt on your factory intake manifold, throttle body, exhaust manifold/turbo, and fuel rail/injectors.
Note: Warranty for this product includes a 1 year manufacturer's defect warranty. If a part fails you must reach out to us, remove the part, then send it back to us for inspection once an RMA (return merchandise authorization) is sent.

Power related failures are also not covered under the engine's warranty.
Important break in procedure:
We recommend running Comp Cams "break in" oil for the first 200 miles, you will need 7 quarts. Before you start the car with the new engine, we recommend that you fill with oil, then leave the injector harness unplugged and turn engine over until the oil pressure light goes out, or even better, use an oil pressure gauge. This ensures that you are starting the engine with full oil pressure.
When the engine is running in gear and at light throttle, bring it up to 4500rpm, then coast down to near idle(still in gear), then 5000, then 5500, then 6000, and 6500 each time letting it coast down to idle. This will help seat the rings. Then after a couple heat cycles, start running it under power.
