This is a universal oil catch can kit. It is intended for high boost applications where the factory PCV cannot flow enough to maintain proper crankcase pressure. It connects your crankcase vent tube to your intake tube. As the intake tube draws a vacuum it will pull the gases from crankcase, and if pressure builds in the crank case it will vent into the intake instead of to atmosphere. The catch can holds the oil as it accumulates in the can. It will need to be drained, how often?, that depends on how much blowby your engine has.

Includes:

  • Can w/ fittings
  • Can bracket
  • 3/8" hose
  • Hose clamps

16mm x 1.5mm thread for the top two in/out holes.

    10mm x 1.0mm for the drain.

    2 mounting holes on the back 6mm x 1mm.

    16 oz capacity. Not baffled.

      Lesson Learned!

I tried a few different ideas that I got from blogs online, but each one created a vacuum leak which effected my idle and tune. I finally comprehended the way that the PCV system functioned on the M90 Gen 3 supercharger, so I decided to write this review to help others. The M90 Gen 3 supercharger has a PCV chamber with a PCV valve and spring inside, capped with a block off plate held down with two M6 bolts that have 10 mm hex heads. To evacuate the crank case gases out, and into the catch can, and back into the combustion chamber, I drilled and tapped the block off plate, installed a hose barb fitting, connected a short piece of silicone hose between the fitting, below the block off plate, to the PCV valve, then I drilled and tapped the side of the PCV chamber of the M90 and installed a hose barb fitting. The crank case gases exit through the modified PCV valve/ block off plate, conveyed through silicone hose to the catch can, then back through silicone hose to the side of the PCV chamber, which has a vacuum port inside of it. I felt rather ****** for taking so long to get this, and I hope that this may help someone else from having the same problem.

Good Idea That Requires Some Ingenuity

I purchased this oil catch can some time ago, and installed it wrong. I tried to install it to vent the crank case utilizing a vacuum port, but it would cause a vacuum leak, so to speak. I tried a couple of different setups that I found online, still read as a vacuum leak. Today, I finally found some info online that made me understand what I had to do, to make the catch can work with a M90 Gen 3 supercharger. I have ordered a bulkhead hose barb angled fitting, and a angled hose barb fitting with 1/4" male NPT to install on the PCV block off plate, with a short piece of 3/8" hose attached between the bulkhead fitting and the PCV valve on the bottom side of the block off plate, and then attach the two hoses from the catch can to the fittings at the top side of the block off plate. This way, the PCV can function normally, and the oil can be collected in the catch can. I am also ordering a oil drain valve to the catch can, so I can place a drain hose to it to facilitate emptying the catch can. I will post photos when I get everything finished.

It took me a little bit to figure out where I was goi g to put it. I have the supercharged version and I just put it where the n/a air box would go
