An excellent way to improve Steering Response and Cornering Capability

My 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP recently had the OEM Power Steering Rack go out after 15 years of reliable usage. After 182,000 miles, I ordered a new rack and I figured while I have the rack out, might as well purchase and install the Progress Front Sway Bar. Installation: The installation was actually very easy for a group of two semi-experienced technicians ( I say semi-experienced because I do all the work on my vehicle but I am not an Automotive Mechanic by trade). The sway bar kit comes with everything ready to be put in without needing to purchase any additional equipment. The only thing that I would recommend is grab some chassis grease (usually in the form of lithium grease) as the bushing are not pre-lubricated and they do not include a small lubrication packet with the order. We installed the sway bar through the passenger's side (it was easier for us at that time) and everything was done on the floor with only the front two wheels off and raised from the ground. The bolts and brackets are very sturdy and I used the factory torque setting for the front sway bar (Maybe a tad bit more but it couldn't be by much). After-Installation Thoughts: I couldn't ask for a better upgrade after installing the rack. I currently use the GoodYear Assurance Triple Tread Tire for my vehicle since i need grip in both summer in Wintertime (Chicago Winters are a pain) and I have to say the front end sticks like GLUE. I've never had such an incredible feeling going on and off Highway Ramps knowing that there is virtually no Roll what-so-ever with the car's frame. The rigidity and response for this sway bar makes the vehicle hug turns and the cornering you experience is fun and exhilarating. I've been a proud owner and my GTP for many years now and I wish I upgraded the sway bar earlier. I have a performance set of shocks which also affects the car's ride but my bet would be that no matter your configuration, if you can install this Sway Bar, you are immediately going to feel a stiff and quick response to your vehicle. It has been a pleasure buying equipment from ZZPerformance and I look forward to completing additional upgrades with my vehicle!
