The factory trailing arms are made of sheet metal and are flimsy and break. These lightweight trailing arms are made out of tubular 4340 chrome moly and weigh less than stock. When these are installed you will notice a huge improvement in cornering ability. This is one of the best suspension mods for your WBody car. These are factory length so you should not need an alignment when installed, unless your factory ones were bent and it was aligned while they were bent, then getting an alignment is recommended.

Great replacement you own a w body the stock ones will be bent . Replace them with some monsters

Trailing arms

I wanted to replace the factory **** trailing arms, I've had them fail on previous Monte Carlo's, on the '02 Dale Earnhardt edition my wife just bought. I waited for the ZZP arms to be back in stock partially due to the picture showing no zerk fittings. Well these have zerk fittings in them. I know it's nice to easily grease poly bushings to keep them from squeaking, I've just never had poly bushings squeak after greasing them during install. Minor issue obviously. The arms are very nicely designed and built, beautiful in appearance and extremely lightweight. My wife immediately noticed the car felt stiffer and smoother despite the original arms being in good shape with nice bushings for stock rubber. This car has only 8k miles on it, it was a garage ornament before we bought it. Anyway, here's the reason I gave only 4 stars. Both ferrels for the spindle bolt were too small, I had to drill them out 1/16" and even then I had to press the ferrel on the bolt shoulder. I would blame the car, but this is a factory original car, even the tires were the original dry rotted Goodyear RSA ****. I had the same problem with 1 of the 4 ferrels on the poly dog bone bushings. I replaced them on both Monte Carlo's we have. Maybe the issue is just me, but on 2 different orders of different products I'm intrigued. Thankfully easily resolved and all products worked outstandingly well after a minor modification.
