ZZP Rear Sway Bar

ZZ-RSWBR-38 $79.99
Regular price $79.99

Once you add some basic handling mods such as lowering springs, upgraded struts, better tires, etc, it becomes increasingly important to consider upgrading your sway bars. As you improve the ability of your car to stick to the road, you will notice an increase in body roll (or sway/lean). This is where a stiffer/larger sway bar setup becomes beneficial. Sway bars work by distributing the upward/downward force of the car evenly from left to right, in an attempt to keep the car level (eliminate the heavy lean, or body roll while turning) the factory sway bars are sufficient for a factory suspension/tire setup, but once you change things out, they are no longer enough. This is where the larger diameter/stiffer sway bars come in, they will help keep all 4 tires planted firmly on the pavement, and drastically improve your cars handling ability.

This is the next step stiffer bar than the GMPP rear.

Includes:

  • Sway bar
  • Bushings

    Shipping weight is dimensional.

      Works like it should

ZZP always ships quick. The bar feels solid and looks good. I like there are two mounting points to control how stiff you want it. The bushings are rubber so I did not use those. I bought the MOOG irathane ones. Everything feels great.

ZZP Rear Sway Bar (‘04 Monte Carlo SS)

My ‘04 SS has the FE3 suspension. I removed the front and rear sway bars and installed the GMPP front and ZZP rear sway bars. I also bought the MOOG end links for the rear. Made a noticable difference to handling capability. Now I need to upgrade the oem struts. My car has 92k miles. Looking at the drop in strut/lowering kit zzp offers. Check out jjs777fzr on youtube. I have a couple videos of me talking about the SS...just chit chat). Thanks ZZP for being there for the W-body.

      Great Product

First thing I noticed was how much heavier it is than the stock/OEM sway bar because it’s a solid rod and not a hollow pipe. Really reduces body roll in the rear. Combined with BC Racing’s coilovers and it literally transforms the entire car. I highly recommend this if you want to improve the handling on your W-Body.

      Awesome feel

First off, people saying that theirs are creaking under load, they more than likely didn't grease the bushings before installing. But moving on from that, this bar really helps keep the rear end over the tires, totally different feel now. Matched up with zip front swaybar with poly and links, with the rear, and strut tower braces, really brings the feel of the car to where it should feel. Amazing product.
