This is our revised 1.4L Cold Air Intake. It comes with everything pictured and it will replace your OEM air box with a complete replacement high flow unit. The sound from the bypass valve will be very noticeable with this intake. It will make about 12hp on the stock computer because it leans out the AFR and bumps the boost, but going from a tuned computer to the tuned computer with this intake it will give you about 5-6hp.

For builds in excess of 250whp, the insert can be removed to add more MAF frequency range for tuning.

Durable powder coat finish. Comes with everything needed to install and will take about 30 minutes to install. 

Application: 2011-2018 Sonic 1.4L Turbo.

Torque specs:

  • Engine Mount Bolt (Qty: 1) 46 lb ft
  • Engine Mount Nut (Qty: 2) 46 lb ft
  • Engine Mount Bracket to Mount Bolt (Qty: 3) 37 lb ft + 60° to 75° - To torque using the torque-to-yield style torque spec of this bolt you would need to use a new bolt. We reuse the factory bolts when we reinstall the mount.

Couldn’t be happier!

Zzp is great, I paid for 4 day shipping. It arrived in 3 days! The install was straight forward and easy. Parts feel like good quality. Definitely a good buy if you are looking to hear that turbo make some noise, helps build boost faster, all in all worth it.

Muy bueno pero un pequeño edetalle

Los materiales usados son muy buenos y el intake hace muy bien su función, solamente en mi caso, al momento de quitar las tuercas del soporte del motor, se trozo una de ellas y ahora esta en el mecánico, no digo que esto sea culpa de ZZP, solamente el diseño que hicieron para que se sujetara la tapa negra de los tornillos del soporte del motor, no creo que fuera la mejor opción. Pero de ese pequeño detalle en fuera, todo excelente.

1.4 turbo sonic. ZZP cold air intake

Install is fairly simple. Looks great. You can hear the turbo real good. I think you can hear the intake pulling in air too much from inside the car. ( it’s kinda cool but a little too loud for me)

Nice sound

Fitment is very poor compared to other reviews and claimed by zzp crew. Sounds great but definitely does not increase vehicle performance by 16whp as claimed. Defiantly would recommend if someone wanted a good sounding intake only. I would recommend a k&n for easy and proper installation.
