Our ZZP 3800 upgraded tensioner features a CNC machined shoe made out of the same proprietary oil impregnated material we use in our performance lifter trays, supercharger coupler and Ecotec timing chain guide. This material features a lower coefficient of friction over the OE tensioner shoe so your oil stays cleaner and ensures worry free operation during the life of your vehicle. We designed this tensioner shoe specifically in mind to bring an upgraded tensioner to the market and cater to those running a double roller timing chain. 

Historically you have not been able to run a tensioner on a double roller setup, which is fine upon first use; however, over time the double roller will develop slack. Our upgraded guide will keep the timing system tight, accurate, and in time over the life of the vehicle. 

Our ZZP tensioner shoe is made of a slicker material than stock which results in less noise overall from the timing system, as well as less friction on the chain. This material is much stronger than the stock plastic and will not get brittle over time, as well as being able to withstand the extra tension and wear on a double roller timing chain; on our test applications you could still see the machining marks and no wear after 10k plus miles.

Works with stock, single roller, and double roller timing chain systems.
