These high quality rising rate performance lowering springs were devised by John Powell drawing on his experience building race Cobalts for General Motors Performance Division. Engineered by Hyperco out of the USA. Hyperco have supplied the springs for every winning Indianapolis 500 race car since 1960...

Accepted overwhelming by the Cobalt Nation, now on the 7th production series. V.1 was a slightly higher spring in trim height as racing experience pointed to the need for higher trim heights especially at the rear for best performance. Keep in mind that the Cobalts Powell RaceShop built for Time Attack and Grand Am racing had lowered rear twisting beam spindles and different front Shocks.

Customers asked John to squeeze a lower trim height out of the package, so we re-engineered the coiling and came up with v.2 et seq.

Lifetime warranty. We guarantee purchasers that these springs will never lose rate or break. Ever.

Going on 7 years now, we have never had a return.

With an adapter kit (available separately) these springs can be installed on all Ion Redlines and even base Ion coupes and sedans.

Works best with Bilstein rear shocks (available separately) and a new front Bilstein Shock, John Powell is working on that, goal is to be available in late winter 2018/19 (exclusively from ZZPerformance)
