The perfect clutch for aggressive drivers that still desire smooth engagement. Our FX300 clutches utilize a segmented Kevlar disc. This will provide more holding power than FX100 or FX200 yet it still offers exceptionally smooth driveability and long life. Combined with our aluminum flywheel this an excellent performance upgrade.

The FX300 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with a Steel Back Segmented Kevlar disc. This clutch is designed for the ultimate street enthusiast or weekend racer running a normally aspirated car equipped with cylinder head work and/or hotter cam(s) or with medium-boost turbo or super-charger or up to 100hp NO2. The FX300 features only slightly increased pedal pressure long life disc and positive engagement.

Heavy duty pressure plate. 6 PUCK ceramic sprung disc for quick engagement and tremendous holding power.

The clutch for aggressive drivers. This is the perfect road-racing application. FX400 utilizes a 6 PUCK ceramic sprung disc complemented by a bulletproof hub assembly. It is designed for cars with significant power upgrades. Engagement is hard and quick.

The FX400 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with a custom extremely durable Sprung Ceramic disc. This is the ultimate extreme duty street and/or road/drag racing system. The sprung hub design allows for moderate dampening in high-torque applications rendering it much more streetable than solid or rigid designs. This disc is designed for long life outstanding holding capacity and rapid heat dissipation.

Warning: Due to the solid (no Marcel) friction rivet design the FX400 disc engages very quickly and may chatter slightly in first and reverse. To help alleviate this problem we only use premium ceramic friction material.

Clutch Masters is proud to introduce the finest and most economical multi-plate clutch systems available for today’s high performance vehicles, the 725 Series. Clutch Masters Twin Disc systems are pure racing technology that also works well in high performance street applications. They are designed to hold tremendous horsepower and torque ratings, while retaining a very smooth operation. By slightly increasing the clamping force of the pressure plate and adding to the square inches of usable disc area, CM Twin Discs significantly increase clamping values with only a 25-50% increase in pedal pressure depending on the application. The cover assembly is machined from billet aluminum with 25% more tensile strength than the competition’s cast unit. The flywheel is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum to meet SFI spec 1.2 for competition in NHRA, NDRA, IDRC, IHRA, SCCA and NASA. Each aluminum flywheel includes a replaceable heat shield. Steel flywheels are also available on select applications.

725 SERIES – (7.25” Twin Disc)
The 725 series is a smaller diameter assembly, which creates less rotating mass and offering quicker, and smoother shifting with much better throttle response.
“Street and Race” (TD6.5) – 1 sprung ceramic disc, and 1 fiber tuff rigid disc 

  • Components can be purchased separately for economical repair.
  • Positive release for ease of high RPM staging and shifting.
  • Most have experienced better 4/10's times and averaged hundreds of passes without complications or repair

All twin disc systems include:

  • Cover Assembly with attached Diaphragm
  • Pressure Plate Ring
  • Two Discs
  • One Mid Plate
  • Billet Aluminum Flywheel*
  • Release Bearing
  • Throw Out Bearing

We highly recommend measuring the actual finger height of the assembled stock clutch versus the clutch masters, if the finger hieght is lower with the Clutch Master Clutch, then we recommend also purchasing our Throw Out Bearing Spacer.

Torque Spec Flywheel to crank 39 ft lbs and 25 degrees. (OEM flywheel bolts)
Torque Spec Pressure plate to Flywheel is 22 ft lbs.

So far so good

I recently installed the clutch masters fx300 stage 3 clutch for my cobalt. Along with a new flywheel and throw out bearing. All is good so far. Really stiff and grabs nice. Still in the break in period for it so I’m not sure how it holds up to my third gear yet lol. Thanks zzp!

ClutchMasters Stage 3

Feels just like stock. I installed the ZZP throwout bearing spacer AND the adjustable Clutch Rod (shortest setting). Everything works smoothly. The engagement is not sharp. Very pleased. During install, I recommend getting a two different colored Sharpies and coloring the input shaft splines different colors. I have a small camera that I stuck in the bellhousing and it is easy to see the splines line up with the friction plate splines.

Not Impressed

Was Doing an Engine swap in my LNF to A LDK engine and needed a Clutch asap. SouthBend was out of stock out at the moment so I Got a Clutch Masters stage 4. The kit came with the alignment tool and the throw out bearing on top of the clutch disk and pressure plate. Was Disappointed because I was told it was a GM Tob but ended up being some aftermarket one that failed within 1000 miles. After Replacement of the tob about after 5000 miles the clutch chatter is very noticeable and the clutch does not engage smooth. Last I also needed a Tob spacer with this clutch where a Southbend you do not. All and All you need a clutch I would highly recommend SouthBend.

If the Hulk were a clutch this is it.

I went with the stage 4 six puck. It grabs quickly and holds my zfr powered lnf at 25psi without issues. I wish I went with this instead of the southbend last time. It is worlds better. You won't be disappointed. As far as driving on a daily basis its not bad at all, just takes a little getting used to. The clutch pedal is light and easy to manage but it hooks up like there's no tomorrow. 100% satisfied!
