GMPP Front Sway Bar

When you enter corners, does your car have a ton of body roll? Part of that is your undersized factory sway bars! The excessive body roll loads the outside tires which creates understeer, sloppy handling, and most of all a dangerous situation if you ever need to make any sudden manuevers. The GM Performance Parts (or GMPP) sway bars can take care of this. This 34mm thick front sway bar is thicker and stronger than the OEM sway bar. It includes new rubber bushings, which is everything needed for the install.

If you want an even stiffer solid front sway bar check out the Progress front sway bar. Another upgrade is replacement poly endlinks to replace the rubber ones that come with this kit. Don't forget the matching GMPP Rear sway bar!

2004 grand prix gmpp front sway bar

This is a much larger anti sway bar than the stock one in my 2004 Grand Prix. If you have a 2004 Grand Prix don't forget to get the 2003 lower control arms that have the perch to mount the end links for this style sway bar.

GMPP stabilizer

Easy to install, if you drop the rear engine cradle bolts, and support with a jack. GMPP bar feels about the same performance wise as original. Replaced because original rusted and broke. 2002 Impala LS

Great upgrade for my 2004 GTP

Yes, this bar is now on my 2004 GTP along with the ZZP replacement lower control arms. I knew the stock '04-'05 SB was relatively thin but WOW! There's a huge difference from this SB. I didn't measure the actual thickness. Read some folks online saying that these GMPP SBs are 33mm. 33mm or 34mm is much larger than what my 2004 had. This was a perfect upgrade along with new Goodyear Eagle Sport tires, ZZP LCA (for 97-03) and tie rods. Car rides on rails in the turns now. Oh, I did install from the passenger side but ended up unbolting the 2 subframe bolts *WARNING* (be sure to support the subframe BEFORE loosening the bolts) - common sense but I felt the need to put that out there anyway. Thanks ZZP for selling us the good stuff.

Great product!!

First product I bought from here, old one rusted and broke. Why not upgrade for the same price as a new own bar.!?Took a little work getting it on but it's a sway bat so what do you expect! Car feels much stiffer, Chassis sets into corners much better. Definitely planning more purchases from here!.

Although the install was a slight pain, this is DEFINITELY worth the money, time and effort. Body roll was almost completely eliminated. I decided to go with this over the Progress bar simply because my car is a daily and this was cheaper. And I'm glad I saved those few extra bucks because this bar did everything I had hoped it would. Install tip: put bar in so it goes on top of tie rods, then just pop tie rods out of place and lower bar and replace tie rods. it may be an extra step in the process but its the easiest fastest extra step when compared to the other techniques. also, slide GMPP bar in from the passenger side.
