The ZZP 1.4 turbo PCM brings the performance of your car to a whole new level.  This is not a mail order tune, each ZZP tune is remotely tuned based on each customers car, mods, and octane.  This is the best tune available in the market.  We go through and rework dozens of tables based on countless dyno tuning with our own vehicles.  We own 3 Sonics and a Cruze enabling us to dial in our tuning better than any other company in this market.  Air Fuel ratios are optimized, boost is increased, timing is remapped, rev limiter is raised, and KR recovery is optimized.  We do most of our work in torque management where these vehicles greatly limit performance and horsepower. By altering these tables, we unlock the full potential of the engine.  We will start the boost around 16psi, and the boost will end up between 15 and 19 psi based on scans from you, the customer.  There are some tunes, that have users seeing spikes as high as 21+ psi, but we can assure you, they are not making more power, the vehicle is not safe on pump gas and the boost fades with RPM. O2 codes are modified so that you do not set check engine lights when running our exhaust products.  Octane: Yes, some GM techs have said that you can run 87 octane in the 1.4 liter turbo, this is not true.  We DO NOT recommend this, the car will have a lot of KR. ("Knock Retard" or more commonly known as spark knock)  ...By special request we have done specific tunes that make it safe to run lower octane, but performance will not be the same as running premium. 

 -If you select ZZP intake, we change the MAF table so that you can run our intake without the plastic insert. Doing this allows HP gains beyond what you can do with any other intake or tune/combo. Our intake was designed like that on purpose from our own testing and racing and realizing it was a way to increase performance. Gains of this tune paired with our intake are larger than anything else in the market. The best part about buying a ZZP tune is the support and fast responses you get. No one else comes close when it comes to expertise and speed of response.

Core Charge: Our PCM flash requires a HPTuners programming interface and cable which we supply with instructions. Upon returning this cable, you are refunded the core charge (deposit). Additionally a Windows based laptop is required. you can use your own or borrow one from us. The advantage of using ours is that it is pre-configured with scanning software and tools to help us assist you if you have any questions or custom tuning requirements. If you choose to keep the tuning interface and/or the laptop, that's fine. That core charge in that case will not be refunded. Core charges are based on 10 days and there will be additional charges if cables or laptops are kept for longer periods. Awesome!

Email responses are fast. Instructions are very clear, even for someone who is new to hptuners. Definitely added some power. Only mods are intake, ported manifold, and dp.

Best mod available, for the money. I could not be happier!

I read over the reviews for this tune prior to ordering my tune, and I have to say this definitely met my expectations! After installing an Injen intake and zzp turbo back exhaust, my sonic definitely felt like it gained some power. This tune really tied it together and I love the newfound torque my car gained. The first thing I noticed was that I no longer needed to downshift my car while going up the hill to my property the way I needed to before the car was tuned. Tim was excellent and responded to my emails extremely fast. The install was simple. I scanned my stock ECU file, emailed it over to Tim, Tim emailed me back the ‘tuned’ file, I uploaded that to my vehicle, a scan was recorded, and the process was repeated two more times. I have no complaints, and I would say it shaved a good 2 seconds or so from my 0-60, while adding a good amount of much needed torque.

dont get a tune anywhere else from anybody else except here with Tim at ZZP

there is nothing better that anyone else has to offer. go ahead and use bnr's tune or trifctas tune. but i promise that you wont get Tim's expertise and guidance. that is what separates this tune from everyone else. There is nothing better than to get the tune from Tim and upload it to your car then logging the drive and sending the log to him and you feel the car is running great and is nice..... and then Tim reads the log and sends you an update according to what he is seeing on those logs and you upload that update and it gets even better and has even more performance and runs even smoother and you think wow this cant get any better can it? Then you log that ride and send to him and he sends you another update and you upload that and then you realize wow this is what it is supposed to feel like. I am telling you that you wont get that from anywhere else.... and if there is someone out there that does this then you're especially not going to get the response time that he gives you. we did all of that in 4 hours tops.... upload, drive, log, send. upload, drive, log, send. upload, drive, log, send. Then i was golden. I promise let someone else try and do what he does and it will take them 2 days just to get you an update..... and next thing you know you finally got it done after 2 weeks and then its still not up to par with what Tim and ZZP can do. let those other companies tell you they can get you 33hp and 45tq........ yeah right. these are the guys to use and they are the right and only people for the job. trust me!!!
