The ZZP 1.4 turbo PCM brings the performance of your car to a whole new level. We go through and rework dozens of tables based on countless dyno tuning with our own vehicles. We own 2 Sonics and a Cruze enabling us to dial in our tuning better than any other company in this market. Air Fuel ratios are optimized, boost is increased, timing is remapped, rev limiter is raised and KR recovery is optimized. We do most of our work in torque management where these vehicles greatly limit performance and horsepower. By altering these tables, we unlock the potential of the motor. We then set boost to 17psi. This is done for several reasons. First, the cars do not make more power raising boost past 17psi on the stock turbo. We know, we've done it. Second reason relates to the factory turbo. It's small and incapable of holding more boost in the upper rpm range where you really need it. There are some tunes that have users seeing spikes as high as 21psi but we can assure you, they are not making more power, the vehicle is not safe on pump gas and the boost fades with RPM. O2 codes are modified so that you do not set check engine lights when running our exhaust products. Octane: Yes, GM says you can run 87 octane in the 1.4 liter turbo. We however do not recommend this, the car will have a lot of KR. ("Knock Retard" or more commonly known as spark knock) After the PCM is reflashed you will no longer be able to safely run 87 octane because our PCM increases timing and boost from the stock flash.

 

 -If you select ZZP intake, we change the MAF table so that you can run our intake without the plastic insert. Doing this allows HP gains beyond what you can do with any other intake or tune/combo. Our intake was designed like that on purpose from our own testing and racing and realizing it was a way to increase performance. Gains of this tune paired with our intake are larger than anything else in the market. The best part about buying a ZZP tune is the support and fast responses you get. No one else comes close when it comes to expertise and speed of response.

Core Charge: Our PCM flash requires a HPTuners programming interface and cable which we supply with instructions. Upon returning this cable, you are refunded the core charge (deposit). Additionally a Windows based laptop is required. you can use your own or borrow one from us. The advantage of using ours is that it is pre-configured with scanning software and tools to help us assist you if you have any questions or custom tuning requirements. If you choose to keep the tuning interface and/or the laptop, that's fine. That core charge in that case will not be refunded. Core charges are based on 10 days and there will be additional charges if cables or laptops are kept for longer periods. After 30 days, core charges convert to purchases.
