ZZPerformance Vanderhall Tuning

Sep 30, 2020

As the early 1.4t Vanderhall Venice came with the same drivetrain as a Sonic, it did not take us long to get our hands on one, throw some ZZP parts into it, and strap it down to our in-house Mustang Dyno.

Reyes' car came in so we could see what our sonic parts feel like in such a small and light chassis. Bone stock it put down 107whp on our Mustang Dyno, which are known to read low.

Next up we began the mods. Initially, Turbo Tim flashed his ZZP Tune onto the vehicle without any extra parts. Just raising the boost and cleaning up the file gave the Venice a ton of pep. You can see this in the Middle red line on the Dyno Graph.

Once Reyes' got used to the extra power, he came back in again for some real power. This is shown on the top and brightest red line on the graph. The set up here was our 1.4T Sonic Downpipe, our recommended ZZP Cams, and V3 Turbo Set Up. Another fresh tune done by Turbo Tim, and the Vanderhall got up to 200whp.

This set up, in a ~1500lb car, feels insanely fast. Check out our youtube video for some action shots and the dyno clips!
