ZZ-Z54T $1,199.99
Regular price $1,199.99

Since the release of our ZFR bolt on turbo for the Ecotec platform, it has been a very popular product. Our ZFR turbos offer an amazing combination of high horsepower potential with minimal turbo lag. However, the dual ball bearing system and titanium-aluminum alloy exhaust wheels add a considerable amount to the price of these turbos. For the last two years, we have been in development of a more affordable version of our ZFR 6758 turbo. So far the results have been very impressive. Our new journal bearing Z54 turbo has been tested to extreme power levels and it performs even better than most were expecting. With a full list of ZZP parts on our ’08 Cobalt SS, we achieved 480 wheel horsepower on E85.

Our Z54 turbo is designed to bolt in place of the factory K04 turbo on the LNF motor. It allows you to reuse your existing intake and exhaust parts without any adapters. While boost will still be controlled by your ECM, you will still need to have your tune set up for this turbo. The wastegate duty cycle chart is the main area that needs to be modified. Since this turbo is fully manufactured and marketed as a ZZP product, it also carries our standard 2 year warranty.

Z54

Very impressed with the turbo except one thing which was installer error. the oil feed line leaked do to being exposed to an excessive amount of heat. besides that the turbo makes great power on my LDK sedan cobalt. The Noises this turbo makes are very loud so if nobody knew you were turbo-ed they will know now.

Nice Product on the Cheap

Great turbo so far but i have only ran it for a little over a week now. Lag is a bit more than i was expecting and kinda makes me miss the stock turbo spool but the return in power is worth it. I have noticed clouds of oil coming out every once in a while and if it continues I will let ZZP know but i figured i would be proactive and did a oil change and plugs yesterday and have not seen more smoke coming out since. I am also on a ZZP dyno tune. ***For people installing this turbo, DON'T re install the heat shields after installing this turbo! the directions say you will need to remove the heat shields but say nothing about leaving them off so I had a major exhaust leak and once I trailered an hr and a half out to show them it wasn't sealing they said the heat shields had to stay off so I had to drive back home to remove them*** Other than this the turbo installed clean and fit nice and snug. Thanks ZZP
