ZZP Sonic Rear Sway Bar

ZZ-SNCRSB $159.99
Regular price $159.99

Once you add some basic handling mods such as lowering springs, upgraded struts, better tires, etc, it becomes increasingly important to consider upgrading your sway bars. As you improve the ability of your car to stick to the road, you will notice an increase in body roll (or sway/lean). This is where a stiffer/larger sway bar setup becomes beneficial. Sway bars work by distributing the upward/downward force of the car evenly from left to right, in an attempt to keep the car level (eliminate the heavy lean, or body roll while turning) the factory sway bars are sufficient for a factory suspension/tire setup, but once you change things out, they are no longer enough. This is where the larger diameter/stiffer sway bars come in, they will help keep all 4 tires planted firmly on the pavement, and drastically improve your cars handling ability.

Made from .120 wall 1" 4130 chrome moly, it is light and strong. The ZZP sway bar will transform your every day driver into a vehicle worthy of a road course.

Comes complete with bolts and instructions.

This will fit the hatchback and sedan models.

Great product from a great company

I've got a 2018 hatch. I already had the eibach lowering springs and metal sway bar endlinks. (Also purchased fromZZP) But the car still felt like it rolled a little too much and wanted to push through a turn. After installing the rear bar the car wants to rotate throughthe turn. It's flatter while cornering. Nothing crazy, it's just right. The car just feels all around more stable, crosswinds, braking, and turning. Just an all around improvement. Definitely recommend!

Great rear sway bar

I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic hatchback. Upgraded the suspension with the GM optional suspension kit. Decided to also install this rear sway bar. All I can say is what a big difference in how the car handles! The rear sway bar really keeps the rear end planted going around turns and ramps. Money well spent. If your thinking about buying this sway bar definitely do it! You won’t go wrong installing one on your Sonic.

excellent

This works much better than you'd think given that this is a torsion rear. I cannot stress it enough, this is the best handling upgrade you can do for body roll. It completely changed the rear end involvement of the car in a corner. once I put this on I found I could just keep pushing it and the back end comes out in a linear and predictable manor (as it should.)
