Rotated Rear Trans Mount Gen3 install
ZZP was quick to deliver and provided prompt support before I started. I also ordered the zzp billet engine mount. I already had the zzp front trans mount installed from years earlier. It took all day to install the rear rotated trans mount. I was curious how this taller mount would align - and sure enough, it was a battle. I did all the work under the car while on jacks. Initially, I installed the mount and the trans bracket separately (per the GM manual). The problem was then aligning everything up to get the thru bolt in with the spacers. I couldn't tilt the engine enough with a crowbar to get the thru bolt all the way thru and engaged. So - I removed the mount and the trans bracket, and installed the assembly with the thru bolt and spacers outside the car. Then, I installed the full assembly back under the car - carefully making sure all the bolts (the 3 mount frame bolts and the 3 trans bracket bolts) would thread up, snug up and torq down. Somehow it bolted up without tilting the engine. Was there a benefit to installing the product? Not really sure. I subsequently installed the zzp billet engine mount - so I'm not sure the effect of either product in isolation. I purposely try to not smoke the tires - so I can't comment on wheel hop one way or the other. I did notice that the stock rear trans mount was worn/torn/damaged and needed to be replaced by something. Test driving the car did provide a much tighter drive experience (when accelerating and when changing gears/letting out the clutch from a stop etc). There is certainly more vibration/buzzing harmonics. For a reference - I have the 2006 Cobalt SS with the zzp stage 3 kit.

HUGE PROBLEM SOLVER
My cobalt sat over 6 months because of my axle issues due to the fact that my vehicle was lowered on coil-overs. This part was recommended by a friend of mine who also shops here... long story short my vehicle is now on the road rather than collecting dust and i’ve never been happier.
